How to set up the 2EASY app to receive calls from your door station

How do I set up the 2EASY mobile app to receive calls?

 The 2EASY video door entry system comes with a free iOS smartphone app that allows you to receive voice and video calls from the door station directly to your phone. Watch the video or follow the steps below to learn how to connect your monitor to WiFi, configure the SIP, and set up the app to receive calls.

PLEASE NOTE: There are two different apps available for use with the 2EASY system. This article includes instructions for the 2EASY app. The newer and more advanced app is called VDP Connect. Learn how to download and configure VDP Connect here




You will need: 

  1. Any 2EASY door station, including the CDV-91S, CDV-96KP, or any of the CDV-97iD series. 
  2. The CDV-PC6 power/bus combiner. 
  3. A WiFi-enabled 2EASY monitor, such as the CDV-47DXB or CDV-47DXW

Connecting your monitor to WiFi 

  1. Press the WiFi icon on the home screen. 
  2. Select the WLAN Setting option.
  3. Pick your desired WiFi network from the list.
  4. Enter the network password and click Connect
  5. The monitor is now online and will show this symbol (  ) at the bottom of the WiFi menu along with the name of the connected network. 
  6. Now return to the home screen.

Completing the SIP configuration 

  1. Press the Server icon on the home screen. 
  2. Click the right-hand arrow in the top-right corner to move to the next page. 
  3. Select Manual Register from the menu. 
  4. Then return to the home screen. 
  5. The SIP monitor is now online

Setting up the iOS app 

  1. Download the 2EASY app onto your smartphone and make sure you allow notifications
  2. Open the app and fill in the credentials in the Configuring Assistant screen. 
You can find the right credentials on your monitor by pressing the SIP icon on the home screen. The corresponding fields that you will need are: 
  1. Divert Account > User Name 
  2. Divert Password > Password
  3. SIP Server > Domain
  4. Local Account > Home
  1. Then press Save on the app.  
  2. Now, you need to disable IPV6 on the app. 
  3. First, click the hamburger menu in the top-left of the app screen.
  4. Select Settings and then Network
  5. In the Network menu, turn the Allow IPV6 setting to OFF
  6. The app is now online. You can return to the app home screen, where you will see a small green dot at the top alongside the word Registered

Transferring calls to your mobile 

  1. On your 2EASY monitor's home screen, touch the Call Scene button. 
  2. You can choose between two options for diverting calls: 
    1. Divert Call Always - this will divert every call that comes into your monitor to your smartphone app immediately. 
    2. Divert Call If No Answer - this will divert calls to your smartphone only when the monitor has rung for 30 seconds with no answer at the monitor. 
  3. On the home screen, a phone icon with an arrow will appear if you have call diverting activated. 

Answering calls and unlocking doors

  1. When someone arrives at the door station, they press the call button.
  2. The monitor then either rings for 30 seconds and diverts, or diverts directly to your smartphone.
  3. When the smartphone rings, and you answer the call, by default only audio communication is activated.
  4. To open video communication as well, press the 2EASY icon on your smartphone call screen. 
  5. To unlock either Lock 1 or Lock 2 directly from your smartphone, press the padlock icons in the bottom-left and bottom-right of the app screen. 
NOTE: There is a limit of five iOS devices that can be set up to receive diverted calls from your 2EASY monitor.
