Why is a wired connection preferred over WiFi?

All Robin intercoms are wired solutions. This means they require hard wiring with PoE network cables - they do not work with WiFI connections.

A wired setup provides a stable and continuous connection for the intercom device. This means your video and audio communications are reliable.

WiFi connections can be more sensitive to environmental interference, which can lead to unstable performance and frustration for the users. These issues are particularly common in installation settings with concrete or brick walls, or long distances between the WiFi router and the intercom.
