What do the LED lights on the fingerprint reader mean?

The ievo fingerprint readers include an LED light to indicate different statuses.

BLUE - This is the standby mode of the reader. It means the reader is ready to scan a fingerprint when presented.

RED - This means the fingerprint is not recognised. This could be because the finger is not enrolled in the system. Alternatively, it could be due to the placement of the finger on the scanner plate. Remove the finger and try again, ensuring that your fingerprint is flat in the centre of the scanner plate.

GREEN - This means that the fingerprint has been successfully recognised by the reader. This does not necessarily mean that you will be granted access to the door. When the fingerprint is recognised, a Wiegand signal is sent from the ievo Interface Board to the connected access control system. Provided that you have the correct user rights to access the door according to the access control system, you should be granted access.

WHITE - This means the reader is booting up. This should only take a few seconds.

FLASHING BLUE & YELLOW - This means that the fingerprint reader head has lost its connection to the ievo Interface Board. You should contact the engineer who installed the system to check that the correct cable has been used between the two components.
