Can the intercom be installed outdoors?
Yes.
Robin intercoms are designed for indoor or outdoor use. They are equipped with an IP54 rating, which means they are protected against both dust ingress and normal levels of splashing water from weather effects. It is suitable for most outdoor environments.
However, we do recommend that the intercom is installed in a sheltered location where possible. This helps to extend the lifespan of the product and ensures optimal performance.
It is also better to avoid extreme exposure such as direct heavy rainfall or prolonged direct sunlight for best results. The intercoms have been tested for successful operation from -30°C to +70°C.
